Cal TURN Fall 2018 Conference InvitationDear Cal TURN Colleague,
Our next Cal TURN event is scheduled for October 11-12, 2018 at Vista Del Lago High School, 15150 Lasselle Street, Moreno Valley, CA 92551. We are assembling presenters, both from our local unions and districts as well as nationally recognized specialists and guests to share promising practices so we can learn from and support each other’s work.
Our Cal TURN teams represent union & teacher leaders, school & district administrators and board members who are working jointly to plan and implement teacher evaluation systems and college and career ready standards to improve teaching and learning. We continue to encourage and support our Cal TURN teams to jointly develop, implement and share their efforts. Additionally, we will work with teams to develop action plans in order to facilitate the work in our school communities.
Cal TURN locals are encouraged to invite representatives from their district and school administration, boards of education and community leaders to join their teams for this two-day forum. The conference will begin at 9:30 am on Thursday, October 11, with registration and breakfast beginning at 8:30 am, and will conclude by 2:00 pm on Friday, October 12.
CONFERENCE REGISTRATION: The registration deadline is October 5, 2018. The registration fee is $125 per person, which includes breakfast and lunch on both days. HOTEL RESERVATIONS: A block of rooms has been held at the Ayres Hotel and Spa, 12631 Memorial Way, Moreno Valley, CA 92553 at a rate of $129 per room, per night based on single or double occupancy.
