Our next Southwest TURN Conference is set for April 6-7, 2018 in Austin, TX. Southwest TURN works to bring together educators and education supporters to examine programs, policies and practices that impact teaching effectiveness and student learning, and to develop collaborative partnerships to improve teacher effectiveness and student learning through effective strategies to meet all student’s needs.

  • 12:00pm-1:pm Registration and Lunch
  • 1:00pm-5:00pm SWT Conference
April 7, 2018: 8:30am-3:00pm

WHO: Union and teacher leaders, school and district administration, school board members, state leaders, and community partners.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Embassy Suites Austin- Central, 5901 N IH-35, Austin, TX at a cost of $146 plus taxes and fees per room per night. To make hotel reservations, call 1-800-729-5711 and ask for the SW TURN room block. The hotel room block cutoff date is March 22, 2018.
As is our custom, we offer a stipend to assist with travel expenses for teachers and administrators- up to $500 for 1 person, $1200 for 2 or more
